Join us for the first-ever in-person LdB Tourism Cafe. Businesses, event organizers, community gems, tourism operators, and tourism supporters can meet to connect with like-minded people, share their latest news, and collaborate on projects.
On April 11, 2023, we are hosting an all-day, in-person Tourism Café session with Sharalyn Reitlo of Community Futures, where we will take the Proposal Writing Seminar. This is the expanded version of the 30-minute presentation Sharalyn delivered to us in November. In April, we will take a deeper dive into:
- the key components of projects and proposals,
- discussions on what funders look for,
- proposal writing tips for success,
- project funding sources, and
- how to find and match funders to your project.
This session is great for businesses and non-profit organizations who find themselves writing grant applications or proposal documents and is open to anyone who would like to learn more about Proposal Writing.
This session will be held at the St. John’s Heritage Church and Arts Centre from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with lunch provided by I Heart Coffee.
Registration for this event is $25.00 per person and includes lunch and materials.

About the LdB Tourism Cafe
The LDB Tourism Cafe is an open forum where you can share the things you have accomplished, projects you are working on, areas where a project may be stalled, and ways we can all work together to support all the fantastic things that make Lac du Bonnet so unique.
The Tourism Cafe is not being designed as another committee. People from your Organization are invited to join as their schedule allows them to participate in these group discussions. Each session will begin with a different topic designed to help your organization build its partnerships, knowledge, or ideas and end with a Round Table session intended to share and identify collaboration opportunities.
