The Lac du Bonnet CDC has been introduced to many wonderful partners across the province who love to help support businesses. We have worked with many of the partners listed below and love the support they provide. Individuals can get in touch with these organizations to seek support for their business or non-profit organization too.

Created in 1996, the Economic Development Council for Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities (CDEM) is the engine of economic development in 15 bilingual municipalities in Manitoba. CDEM is active in the tourism, community economic development, business support, employability, immigration and youth sectors. One of CDEM’s key focuses is stimulating business creation, entrepreneurial spirit, employability and community economic development among Francophones in Manitoba.

Community Futures Winnipeg River works to enhance community growth and prosperity for the North Eastman region. Community Futures is a community-based economic renewal initiative funded by the Government of Canada and directed by local volunteer boards. Their main objectives are to help rural Canadians start or expand a business and to help sustain and improve communities and their local economies.

Eastman Tourism is the official Regional Tourism Association in Eastern Manitoba. They provide quality tourism information, support tourism operators and agencies, and facilitate networking and collaborations that strengthen the Eastern Manitoba tourism industry. Businesses and non-profit organizations can also purchase a yearly membership to receive marketing and promotion perks from Eastman Tourism.

J.U.S.T Training is a resource centre for federal and provincial government programs related to community economic development, business development, and employment and training services. J.U.S.T Training provides skills training and employer services to residents and employers in the North Eastman Region. As an employer, J.U.S.T Training can help you access wage subsidy programs for new employees, assist you with finding skilled employees, and partner with you to establish training programs.

The Chamber is an association of business people, community organizations and interested individuals that operates as a non-profit, membership-funded organization working for the businesses and community of Lac du Bonnet. Their mandate is to act as a resource and provide services to members, market and promote the businesses and the community of Lac du Bonnet, and undertake initiatives that improve the general business climate, thus improving the overall local economy.

North Forge Technology Exchange is an innovation-based economic development agency and business incubator that combines funding and mentorship connections with technology to help ensure business expansions and new start-ups are given the right tools to succeed. Armed with Canada’s largest non-profit fabrication lab, they operate out of 27,000 square feet in Winnipeg.

North Forge East is the first non-profit, innovation-based, regional business incubator in Eastern Manitoba. North Forge East helps entrepreneurs with strong business ideas develop in the area by offering access to mentors, subject matter experts and guidance as they progress through the start-up program. They also offer free digital prototyping services, 3D printing lab access and training.

Since 1931, the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) has served as the umbrella association for Manitoba’s action-oriented chamber movement. Today, with 64 local Chambers of Commerce across the province and hundreds of direct corporate members, the network comprises almost 10,000 organizations of all sizes and across all sectors. As the “Voice of Business in Manitoba,” the Manitoba Chamber advocates for sustainable economic development, entrepreneurial success, vibrant communities, and a strong future. The mission of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce is to champion sustainable economic growth leading to greater prosperity for businesses and communities in Manitoba.

Tourism is a dynamic and diverse industry that employs over 59,000 people in Manitoba. The Manitoba Tourism Education Council plays a key role in this competitive business environment by delivering proven training programs to preserve and enhance the level of customer service, skills training, safety programs and general business training throughout the province. As travellers’ expectations rise, so too does the need for quality training initiatives, and therefore, MTEC continues to enhance, upgrade and employ new technologies to provide current and relevant programs to people in the Manitoba Tourism Industry.

Travel Manitoba is the only public/private non-profit tourism marketing organization that provides a province-wide platform to promote Manitoba as a premier travel destination. Travel Manitoba is a Crown corporation whose role is to provide leadership by collaborating with tourism businesses, communities, destination marketing organizations and governments to realize the full potential for tourism in Manitoba

Workplace Education Manitoba is a leader in providing flexible training and assessment responses across Manitoba.

WEM delivers in person, online, or a mix of the two, depending on your needs. Skills for Success training contributes to measurable gains, including increased employee retention and productivity, maximizing efficiency and building engagement. Whether it be towards employment, technical training or in the workplace, WEM is a partner that works with you.

The World Trade Centre Winnipeg provides support to Manitoba companies looking to grow their business beyond Manitoba and provides services to international companies interested in doing business with Manitoba companies. The WTC Winnipeg’s trade development team provides a range of services to help companies identify and pursue Targeted Trade Opportunities, explore new markets and seek international partnership opportunities.
