Valley Fiber
In February, the CDC played an instrumental role in connecting the RM of Lac du Bonnet with Valley Fiber. It was interested in installing its Fiber Optic Network in the RM to provide residents and businesses with the world’s fastest internet.
Valley Fiber has started the work on a 13 million dollar investment, laying Fiber on the west side of the RM. When the project is complete, 100+ kilometres of Fiber optic infrastructure will be placed in the RM along PR 317, Highway 11, and up PR 313 to the Bird River area, and 2,200 homes and businesses along the route will have access to the fastest internet in the world.
Valley Fibre’s investment in Lac du Bonnet is significant for further business attraction efforts and for providing residents and businesses in the community a faster, more reliable Internet Service. A reliable, dedicated Fiber Optic Network infrastructure will significantly enhance the internet services available in Lac du Bonnet, which is a crucial decision when site selectors are searching for locations to develop.
