Since July 2020, the Lac du Bonnet CDC has been working with 16 local organizations to investigate the development of an Event Park in Lac du Bonnet that would provide infrastructure for our outdoor event organizers, increase tourism, and create a shared, multi-user space.
The Lac du Bonnet CDC worked with the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet, the Safe Boating Ambassador Committee, and Transporation Canad to promote safe boating in Lac du Bonnet as part of the recommendations set out by the VORR Committee in September 2020.
Volunteer LdB is a collaboration project by the LdB CDC, Hero's Alliance and the LdB Lions to connect people to volunteer opportunities in Lac du Bonnet.
After completing the Experiential Tourism Training program, the EDO is now a qualified Experiential Develop Coach who can provide Experiential Tourism Training to the community. The training takes business owners through the business development approach of developing Experiential Tourism Products to increase revenue streams for businesses or non-profit organizations and enhance the tourism products available in Lac du Bonnet.
After a community recreation needs survey indicated that residents were leaving the community to use skating trails, and a tourism survey indicated that more winter attractions were needed for Lac du Bonnet, the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet Recreation Department and the Lac du Bonnet CDC partnered up with local residents to create a world-class, multi-use winter trail along the Lee River.
Serving as a modern method to highlight Lac du Bonnet's vibrant and growing community that offers year-round indoor and outdoor activities, exciting festivals and cultural events, unique local businesses and more; the Driftscape App empowers the CDC to create an interactive and engaging experience for diverse age groups with the help of its many features, including but not limited to Self-guided tours, Augmented reality, offline exploration and quests.
Through our developed network, the Lac du Bonnet CDC was approached to take advantage of a Foreign Investment Opportunity whereby Municipal Solid Waste is transformed into a concrete-like product that can be moulded into many different configurations. This project started as a research and networking contract between the Lac du Bonnet CDC and FERPA and has become a Business Attraction project as we work towards attracting the first Canadian facility to be built here.

The Lac du Bonnet CDC actively promotes Lac du Bonnet as a highly desired place to Live, Work, Play, and Invest. The CDC actively engages with individuals and businesses from outside the community seeking information about starting a business in Lac du Bonnet. The CDC will assist with the delivery of information, act as a local connection to resources, and continue to develop our network to increase business attraction opportunities for the community.
