Full Job Description

The prime responsibility is ensuring that all administrative and IT functions are completed in a timely manner for various departments at the TANCO site.

Administrative Duties

  • Distribute mail in-house and electronically to head office and post-Canada Post outgoing mail.

  • Ensure database/binders for Material Safety Data Sheets are kept current and updated accordingly.

  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the main office and site, which includes but not limited to permits binder, all aspects of travel reservations, booking meetings and meals.

  • Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.

  • Develop and maintain a filing system – manual and electronic.

  • Ensure the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

IT Duties

  • Provide first-level contact for laptops, desktops, applications, and printing support issues.

  • Resolve daily technical issues reported by end users in the company, answering calls and emails regarding technological problems, software issues, printer issues, passwords, access to network drives, emails, and other apps.

  • Provide training for new users who require help using the computer, and train new employees on the operation system, email, mobile phone, printing, scanning, etc.

  • Maintenance and Repairing issues arise daily. Check network for errors, repair malfunctioning peripherals, and help troubleshoot problems.

  • Installation, updating, and support for workstations and servers for hardware, software, and Operating Systems.

  • Speak to HR and Managers to identify hardware, software, computers, mobile phones need for the employees.

  • Physically deploy and move new equipment as required, computers, phones, accessories, etc.
